Flash games without Flash: free, no plugin

Flash games were the quick free games of the 2000s web: one-tap arcade runs, block stackers, puzzles and clickers you played on a break. Flash Player is gone now, so those games no longer run in a normal browser. The games on Arena13 are flash games without Flash: made for today's browsers in the same spirit. Open one, play a round, nothing to install. They work on phones as well as on desktop.

What happened to Flash games?

Adobe stopped supporting Flash Player after 31 December 2020 and blocked Flash content from running from 12 January 2021, and the major browsers removed the plugin. Many old Flash games were saved by preservation projects, but they no longer play in a normal browser tab.

Are these the old Flash games?

No. None of these games is a Flash game or a copy of one. They are HTML5 games: our own originals, like Stack Up, Past Me and Headcount, and open-source games adapted for the site, each listed with its author and license on the credits page. What they share with the Flash era is the feel: short rounds, simple controls and a score to beat.

Flash games with no plugin

You don't need one here. Every game runs in the browser you already have, on phone or desktop, with no plugin, no download and no sign-up. In leaderboard games you can post your score under any name you like.

Where to start

For a one-tap run, try Stack Up or Sky Tower. And there is a new daily word every day, the same for everyone.
